There is really only one way to learn how to do something and that is to do it. STI Academic Centre annually holds an academic competition which displays the students’ creativity, cleverness, and sense of effort in a yearly competition. This Tagisan ng Talino serves as a great way of giving students a part of education not only within the room but also performing and gaining curricular wisdom. The program went smoothly which is a good thing where they held it for the first time with the participation of Senior High School students. It contributes positive focus on measuring the capacity of each participant in their chosen respective fields. See to it that the design of the whole event is devoted to developing intellectual learners where the brightest STI students gather to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Last January 09, 2016, students from College and Senior High School department of STI College Calamba participated and watched the yearly Tagisan ng Talino. They hosted last year’s Cluster Level that many are expecting that they will showcase more competitive students. Starting from the organizers, faculty and staff, and school heads they gave an ample time to put innovation on a normal form of education. The instructors are working out for each contenders to train more. STI College Calamba still aim for a victory to reach until the National Level competing the best students of STI all over the Philippines.
The different categories of academic competitions showcase the applications, computer programming, web site development, public speaking, communication, writing, photography and culinary skills. The Tagisan ng Talino is a comprehensive method of STI to showcase the academic quality and academic competitiveness within the school and among STI branches. I saw a good impact and exercise to all learners in the event.
