Tagisan ng Talino is an event of STI Academic Centre that happens every year. This event encourage all of the students to show their wit, knowledge, and talent in different categories and in different program. This also helps the students to know what they can and can’t do.
All the organizers of the said event do their best to make it successful. One of the organizers, Mr. Ronnel Samante, stated that organizing this kind of event is not that hard. “The process went smoothly. It’s not hard, first because of the experience; second, all the staffs and committee follows the instructions and they also cooperate to make this event happen.” – Mr. Samante said. He also added that they can find people that can easily help them upon establishing the event. It’s also not hard to find a student to join on any programs because the students are willing to participate, especially the Senior High School students.
According to Mr. Samante,“Though it happens yearly, in 5-months all of the equipment, the things that needed in the event kailangan nakahanda na. Kung ang approval ng budget sa HQ ay na-late ng 2-months, hindi na matutuloy ang event. Kailangan handang-handa, from the committee, budget, design and lay-out, especially in the mechanics.” Approximately, less than three-months is the minimum preparation of an event. In an event, error and conflict can always happen especially if it’s live.
Mr. JC Corpuz, the Head Organizer of the TNT said, “Like for example in “Stand-up-and-Deliver”, sometimes the contestants feel nervous because of the crowd, it can cause delay and time consuming. They can’t answer quickly. And also in “Think-Quest” some of the questions are confusing for the other contestants or participants. So far that’s the minor conflict that happen in the event. From the start until to the awarding of the winners, the event went smoothly.”
Organizing a happening is not a joke, even if it’s small or big one. As long as you have the staffs and budget, you can prepare a school program even. Also, if the staffs and committee that you have are cooperating and pursuing to reach the maximum result it will become successful. But all of this are nothing without the organizers.
